This will be the first PhUSE SDE to be held in the Netherlands since the first SDE was held in Switzerland in 2008, and will focus on Data Visualization. I will be presenting a paper on my favourite SAS-related topic of ODS Graphics entitled “Converting Plots from SAS/GRAPH to ODS Graphics”.
To celebrate the publication of my latest book “SAS Programming and Data Visualization Techniques: A Power User’s Guide”, you will be able to win a copy in a free prize draw to be held on the day.
Full details will be made available before the event at http://www.phuse.eu/Netherlands2016.aspx
This is a copy of the notice sent out by OCS Consulting:
In succession of the well-received CDISC ADaM workshops last year, OCS Consulting is once again partnering with Nutricia Research to organise a public training course, this time on ODS Statistical Graphics in SAS.
OCS Consulting and Nutricia Research have enlisted the support of Holland Numerics Ltd. to host a 1 day practical training course on:
ODS Statistical Graphics – SAS
This training course is intended for participants who wish to start to work with ODS Graphics in their organisation and is suited for statistical programmers and statisticians. The practical part will address converting plots and annotations to ODS Graphics.
This training course addresses Base SAS software, beginning with SAS 9.3. For SAS 9.2, ODS Graphics is part of SAS/Graph software. Attendees should have completed the SAS Programming 1: Essentials course or have equivalent programming experience.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops with SAS 9.3 or higher installed on it so that the full benefit of the training’s practical part can be captured.
The course will be presented by Philip Holland, SAS specialist and author of numerous papers and four SAS books.
Date: Wednesday 3 February 2016
Time: 9.00- 17.00
Location: Nutricia Research, Utrecht Science Park, Uppsalalaan 12, 3584 CT Utrecht

Driven by the growing volume and complexity of data, the need for visual representations of biomedical data and statistics is growing rapidly. Data visualisation has become key in understanding and interpreting the structure and analysis of biomedical data. At the same time, the possibilities to develop and apply visuals have increased through compelling software currently on the market.
The first PhUSE Single Day Event in the Netherlands covers a variety of perspectives on the topic of data visualisation, ranging from clinical metadata to statistical analysis from both the developer and the user perspective. With an attractive agenda, excellent presenters and a great venue, this event is the place to be if you want to learn more about data visualisation. The event also presents a great setting and plenty of opportunity to connect with experts and peers.
Prior to the event, on Wednesday 3rd February, a one-day practical training course on ODS Statistical Graphics by Philip Holland will be organised at the event venue. For more information and registration please visit the OCS Consulting website http://ocs-consulting.nl/public-training-sas-ods-graphics/.
